No Indian has won a gold medal in athletics since India started taking part in Olympics.

Neeraj Chopra, the athlete from Panipat in Haryana, gave Indian people a reason to celebrate and unite. He dedicated his gold medal to Legendary Milkha Singh, who passed away in June. Milkha Singh finished fourth in the Javelin throw in the 1960 Rome Olympics. The whole nation is happy as Chopra won the gold medal.
