China is fighting a border war with India, threatening freedom in international waterways, U.S. Senator. Beijing

China is fighting a border

U.S. Senator John Cornyn states that the most pressing and deadly dangers are directed at countries closer to China’s borders, such as India.
Washington, D.C. Freedom in international waters, a border war with India, and an invasion of Taiwan are just a few of the current worries that China offers to the globe, Republican Senator John Cornyn warned the United States Senate on Tuesday.
Gross human rights violations
Cornyn, highlighting the worries on the Indian subcontinent, stated that the most immediate and severe dangers are directed at countries closer to China’s borders. In addition to highlighting the plight of Uyghur Muslims in the Asian region, he accused Beijing of “Gross human rights violations”.
“The most immediate and serious threats are directed at countries closer to China’s borders.” Last week, I had the opportunity to lead a congressional delegation to Southeast Asia to understand the region’s concerns and problems better. It (China) jeopardises freedom of navigation in international waters, and it is responsible for grave human rights violations against its people, notably the Muslim minority Uyghurs. It’s at war with India and threatens to attack the Republic of China, often known as Taiwan,” Cornyn warned members of the U.S. Senate.
The Republican made the remarks while discussing his recent trip to New Delhi and Southeast Asia to assess the issues that countries face.
Tensions between India and China.
The bitter border standoff between India and China erupted on May 5, 2020, following a violent conflict between the forces of both countries along the Line of Actual Control in the Pangong Lake areas when the Chinese army drew dangerously close Indian mainland. However, due to high-level military and diplomatic discussions, both parties agreed to disengage and de-escalate tensions in the region gradually.
However, the situation in Taiwan remains bleak as Beijing repeatedly invades their neighbouring country’s airspace and claims it as part of their sovereignty.
