A day after meeting Rahul Gandhi in Delhi, Chattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said. Those seeking a rotation of the chief minister’s post are creating political instability in the state. He told Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has entrusted him with the responsibility of running the state. Further, he said, will quit the Chief Minister’s post when the High Command asks him to do so. Bhupesh Baghel arrived at the Raipur airport, and supporters displayed a show of strength. It was a sign of victory from Baghel that he will remain Chief Minister.
Bhupesh Baghel and TS Singh Deo separately met All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary KC Venugopal amid an ongoing power tussle. Bhagel and TS Singh Deo held consultations with Venugopal over the apparent differences between them. They also discussed development issues related to the state. The two leaders are likely to have further deliberations with Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.
Bhupesh Baghel said he would follow the High command instructions.
Bhupesh Baghel told the Newsagency ,” I have said in the past that when the high command orders, I will quit the post. It would help if you did not have any doubt regarding it. Those talking about two and a half years are trying to bring political instability to the state. BJP will never succeed in bringing political instability to the state. Above all, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have entrusted the responsibility of Chattisgarh to a farmer like me. This government is of farmers and three crore people of the state. The government is functioning well. Bhagel added.
Deo has claimed that according to an agreement made after Congress came to power in Chhattisgarh in 2018. Bhagel should have got the chief minister’s post after 2.5 years, but he denied these statements. According to sources in the Congress, Rahul Gandhi will resolve the differences between Bhupesh Baghel and his rival, TS Singh Deo, soon.
