The All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP) which contested all the seats in the recent UP assembly elections ended up with a considerable amount of vote share percentage. The AIMEP was contesting the elections for the first time and secured a good percentage of the votes. The AIMEP is the torch bearer of women rights in India.
Women participation is very low in active politics and without participating in politics women can not be empowered.
