Raj Kundra, famous actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband was arrested by the Mumbai Police along with his 10 companions on 19 July 2021 due to the involvement in a pornography case. He was placed in police custody till 23 July but the police extended this date till 27 July 2021.

The Mumbai Police will inform ED to find out more about the pornography case as it also violates the foreign exchange. The police found out that the pornographic films were published through some apps.
The ED will take the FIR copy from Mumbai police to investigate more regarding this case and it may also issue summon against Raj Kundra under PMLA and FEMA.

Mumbai police found out that Raj Kundra was taking subscription fees from the users of this app and was making a good amount of money through his illegal business.
Mumbai Police also claimed that Raj Kundra was using this money for online betting which was also illegal.
ED will find out about the claims made by Mumbai police regarding the involvement of Raj Kundra in the pornography case and also the allegations regarding the involvement in the financial dealings of the app through which he earned money with the help of the what’s app chats.
The ED can also question the director of Raj Kundra’s company during the investigation along with his wife Shilpa Shetty because she was his company’s director till last year.
Shilpa Shetty stated that she has no idea about the pornography films produced by him and about the app through which he used to publish those films. Moreover, she said that her husband is innocent and wasn’t involved in this case.
